2025 Munster Track and Field U9-13

Munster 2025 TF U9-13, Saturday June 7th and Sunday June 8th in Waterford RSC.

U10 girls 500m, Zoe Haugh who finished 5th in her heat, with Lily Giltenane and Aoibhín O’Brien both finishing 9th itn their respective heats
U10 girls 60m Zoe Haugh, Alyssa Fitzgerald, Róise Murnane and Nora O’Reilly-Sanz

U11 girls 600m Blanka Kowalska and Izabella Benke with both girls also competing in the 60m sprint along with Olivia Harty and Lana Fitzgerald

U12 girls 60m Clara Mooney who made it to the semi-final

U9 girls 300m Leila Hughes and Emelia McCarthy, who finished in the top 10
U9 girls 60m Leila Hughes and Emelia McCarthy, who finished second overall across all the heats taking the silver medal

4x100m Relays
We had 2x U10 girls teams with the two U9 girls featuring on the second team

U13 boys 80m Sean O’Donnell who qualified to the semi-final

U10 girls Long Jump Lily Giltenane, Alyssa Fitzgerald and Róise Murnane
U10 girls Turbo Javelin Aoibhín O’Brien had a throw of over 5m and Nora O’Reilly-Sanz had over 9m

U11 girls Long Jump Lana Fitzgerald and Izabella Benke who narrowly missed out on a medal

U13 girls Shot Put Chelsea Malejeva won gold with a throw of 10.25m

On Sunday, our only girl competing was Faye Hallinan who ran in one of the 10 heats of the U13 girls 80m and qualified for the semi-finals

U10 boys 60m Oisín Quaid and Jerry Rice all ran in one of the 10 timed heats. Jerry came 2nd in his heat and only missed out on a medal by 2/10 of a second.
U11 boys 60m Caleb Cusack, Ruairi Heeney and Tiernan Quaid ran in the timed heats. Tiernan won his heat and claimed the silver medal on time. Ruairi came second in his heat and Caleb came third, both narrowly missing out on the medals. The pairing of Tiernan and Ruairi with their combined time came 7th in the team competition
U9 boys Jared Cusack and Noah Alfred combined to come fifth in the 300m team competition while their 60m sprint time combined to claim gold. In the sprint, Jared came 2nd in his heat and Noah won his also claiming 2nd overall place on times.

On Sunday, the only girls Long Jumper was Faye Hallinan
U12 boys Turbo Javelin Nathan Laffan made it to the top 8 for a second set of three throws
U10 boys Long Jump Oisín Quaid with Tiernan Quaid with Shane Horrigan competing in the U11 Jump
U10 boys Turbo Javelin Evan Casey O’Shea threw an impressive 15.5m on his third and final throw
U11 boys Turbo Javelin Ruairi Heeney, Noah Laffan and Shane Horrigan, with Noah picking up the gold medal and the pairing of Noah and Ruairi picking up the team silver medals.
