Cross Country Results
Well done to all the athletes who participated in the Cross Country last weekend in Newcastlewest.
Girls
The U10 girls were represented by Blanca Daviet who was second overall and the other team members were Faye Hallinan, Ella Harte, Clara Mooney, Grace O’Connor and Penny Walsh. The U10 team won bronze. In the U12 race, the Dooneen girls won gold in the team event. Eva McMahon was second followed by Ciara Lynnn, Caoilinn Crowley and Farrah O’Sullivan. Sophia Meaney won the U14 event and Catherine McCutcheon and Niamh Hynes made up the team to win gold.
Boys
Darragh Lynn and Darragh Minogue represented Dooneen in the U10 race. The U12 boys came second in the team event – Cooper Martin led them home, followed by Cormac Harty, Kyle Harte and Ciaran O’Connor. Ruadhan Crowley was first in the U14 boys race and Johnny Tarpey was 6th. Brian Lynn claimed silver in the U16 race and Jack Crowley bronze. Alan McCutcheon ran in the U18 race and was second.
