Conditions for running couldn’t be bette or in more stark contract to last weekend’s competition with sunshine and lolipops all ronnd in Bilboa for the third and final day of county championships for this year.            

Testing conditions today for the senior xcountry championships with a downpour just as events started making underfoot conditions challenging. Day 1 of the 2023 Limerick County Cross Country was uneven-age relays and the Intermediate men and women. First up were our U9 girls of Izabelle Berka, Emma Morrissey, Ali Bourke and Lily Conway who came home in 4th in their first competition. Next up were the boys of James O’Donnell, Cian Harte, Caleb Cusack and Dougie Silke who came home in an amazing 4th place. We had two teams in the girls U11 Faye Hallinan, Clara Mooney, Ella Harte, Blanka deviet, Kiera Dillon, Ruth Cregan, Freya Collins and Zoe Casey O’Shea.
