2026 Munster U9-12 Track and Field Day 1
A sunny and warm May day in Waterford this year, which is a nice change, and its set to be even warmer tomorrow so lets hope the action is as hot from all our young athletes. Today we had some great competition and results for both individual and team pairs. In the U9 long jump we had Ciara Hanley with Lily Conway, Blanka Kowalska, Moulika Gokul Muthu, Katie Wallace and Amelie Hall all in the U12 event. Munster Indoor U12-U14 Updates
Updates for this coming weekend’s Munster Championships in Nenagh. Saturday morning starts at the earlier time of 9:30AM, while Sunday will begin from 10AM. Results throughout the day will be available online at the link below. Munster 2026 Indoor U15-19 Day 2
Day 2 of the U15-19 indoor championships started with mixed relays for U17 and U19. The U19 team came 3rd while the U17 team finished just off the emdals in 4th. In the U16 60m sprint, Jay Collins took gold, Isbéal Ní Huigín took gold in the U17 girls sprint too while Grace Mainoo was second in the U18 sprint. Éanna Ní Huigín was also second in the U19 sprint. Lavr Malejevs was second in the U15 shot while in the U17 shot, Raymond O’Brien was 3rd and Oisin Garvey was 4th. 2026 Munster Indoor Calendar
Munster indoor track and field events will begin on February 21st and 22nd, for U15-U19 age groups (Born 2012 is U15, born 2008 is U19). Competition for U12-14 (born 2015-2013) will take place on the weekend of March 7th and 8th. There is no Munster indoor competition for U9-U11 age groups. Timetable for the first weekend, U15-U19, is shown below. Please note that all walks, for all age groups, will take place on Sunday March 8th, and not over the weekend of Feb 21/22. Entries through the club only, given at training with €3 per event, by Sunday Feb 8th so we can process them in time before entries close.…

2025 Munster Uneven-age Cross Country
In what turned out to be the best weather of the week, with sunshine and blue skies, Dooneen athletes turned out once again for the Munster Uneven-age cross country championship, hosted by Moycarkey Coolcroo AC. We had Jared Cusack and Noah Alfred starting out in the U0 boys race, followed immediately by the team of Olivia Harty, Sarah Bourke, Blanka Kowalska and Lily Conway in the girls U11. Sarah and Olivia had already competed out of age in the U12 race at the same venue three weeks ago, so this was a breeze for them today. In boys U11 we had Caleb Cusack and Shane Horrigan competing. 2025 Munster Cross Country Even-Age
Ella Grace Osborne came 8th in the U18 4500m, and was also 11th in the U20 category in that race. Aimee McMahon also ran in the U18/U20 race. Eva McMahon came 2nd in U14 3000m with Grace O’Brien 6th in that same race. All three of the Crowleys, Caoilinn, Ruadhan and Jack ran, with Caoilinn in U16 and Jack and Ruadhan both in U20, and Ruadhan also U18. Olivia Harty and Sarah Burke are both only U11 but ran the U12 race and did really well. Fionn O’Connor was our only U14 boy, with Shane Horrigan and John McMahon running U12 boys.

2025 Munster Track and Field U9-13
Munster 2025 TF U9-13, Saturday June 7th and Sunday June 8th in Waterford RSC. U10 girls 500m, Zoe Haugh who finished 5th in her heat, with Lily Giltenane and Aoibhín O’Brien both finishing 9th itn their respective heats U10 girls 60m Zoe Haugh, Alyssa Fitzgerald, Róise Murnane and Nora O’Reilly-Sanz U11 girls 600m Blanka Kowalska and Izabella Benke with both girls also competing in the 60m sprint along with Olivia Harty and Lana Fitzgerald U12 girls 60m Clara Mooney who made it to the semi-final U9 girls 300m Leila Hughes and Emelia McCarthy, who finished in the top 10 U9 girls 60m Leila Hughes and Emelia McCarthy, who finished second…

2025 Munster U12-14 Indoor Championships
The 2025 Munster Indoor Championships are now complete with the second weekend in Nenagh. Starting the weekend off were the hurdles and in Girls U14 was Faye Cusack, followed by Sophie Sherlock and Clara Mooney in U12. Clara made the semi-final and Sophie made the final. In the U13 Hurdles Lucy O’Donnell made the semi-final. In Boys U13 Hurdles Bobby Weekes and Milo Liddy-McDonagh both made the final, with Bobby finishing 2nd and Milo coming 8th. Girls U14 800m Lara O’Regan ran in heat 2 alongside the eventual overall winner while Eva McMahon ran heat 4 winning this heat and finishing 2nd overall. Caitlin Garvey won the girls U14 1000m…

2025 Munster Indoor U15-U19 Championships
Last weekend saw the Munster Indoor track and field season start at Nenagh Olympic Stadium. Over the weekend athletes from all over Munster turned out to compete for medals and qualification to the National Indoor Championships in March. Siun Galvin was first up for Dooneen on Saturday in the U15 Girls 60m hurdles. Isbéal Ni Huigín competed in the U16 Girls 200m and came 2nd, splitting the 1st and 3rd that had both run in the first heat and finishing over 1 second ahead of the 2nd place in her heat.
