2026 Munster U9-12 Track and Field Day 1

A sunny and warm May day in Waterford this year, which is a nice change, and its set to be even warmer tomorrow so lets hope the action is as hot from all our young athletes.

Today we had some great competition and results for both individual and team pairs.

In the U9 long jump we had Ciara Hanley with Lily Conway, Blanka Kowalska, Moulika Gokul Muthu, Katie Wallace and Amelie Hall all in the U12 event.

In U12 Turbo Javelin we had Ema Andrijauskaite and she also came 3rd in the Shot.

In Relays, 4x100m, the U9 girls came 3rd while U11 were 4th in heat and also U12 were 4th in their heat.

In middle distance there was a huge number of entries with as much as 7 races for the U11 600m.  300m U9 were Imogen Hall and and Róisín Cribbin.  500m U10 had Sarah Mullane and Emilia McCarthy.  In U11 600m we had Róise Murnane and Leah Moloney.  Finally in the U12 600m were Lily Conway, Katie Wallace, Blanka Kowalska, Olvia Harty and Emma Travers.

In the sprints, we had Ciara Hanley, Imogen Hall and Róisín Cribbin in the U9 event with Ciara and Imogen making the team bronze position.  In U10 there was Sarah Mullane and Emilia McCarthy who took team bronze with Emilia finishing 4th overall.  Leah Moloney and Róise Murnane took part in the U11 sprint and in U12 Amelie Hall, Lily Conway, Moulika Gokul Muthu, Katie Wallace and Blanka Kowalska ran across the 13 heats, with Amelie making the semi-finals.
