2023 Munster Indoor Relays
Saturday the Munster U9-U19 Indoor relay championships were held in Nenagh. Dooneen had approx 20 teams competing across all the ages.
For some of our younger boys and girls this was their first time competing at this level and performed amazingly. Main highlights on the day were the Girls U19 winning in a time of 1:48:25. The team was Amy Ryan, Molly Quirke, Victoria Amiadamen and Debbie Lawal. The Boys U18 won the 4x200m in a great time of 1:42:91. The team was Alan McCutcheon, Ross O’Carroll, Lamine Diarrassouba and Jack Crowley. The girls U15 won an amazing relay final with one meter to spare. Team was Mega O’Shea, Lilly McMahon, Emma Pethos and Destiny Lawal. Dooneen had a second team here of Niamh Hynes, Sophia Meaney, Aisling O’Sullivan and Grace who came in 2nd in their heat. Girls u18 of Angel Alfred, Leagh Moloney, Vivan Amaeze and Nancy O’Keefee won in a time of 1:51:92. In the girls U16 they took bronze in a very strong final. The team was Eanna Ni hUigin, Ivana O’Carroll, Destiny Lawal, Emma Pethos and Rhiannon Heng. The U12 boys team of Iarla Kelliher, Ruadhan O Hannadh, Tommy Hayes, Cooper Martin and Thomas O’Donnell won bronze in a time of 2.08.11. Girls u9 took home silver in a time of 1:14:07. All U12 and over teams who won gold and silver will go to the National Finals at the end of March.
