2023 Limerick Cross Country Day 2

Congratulations also to our senior men of David Secchi,Kevin Johnson,Mpho Chauke,Dermot Kearns,Andrew McMahon and Joe Chawke on winning team silver.  Well done guys.

A huge thank you to West Limerick AC, the county board and all involved in hosting this event in the fabulous new course of the showgrounds.

The U10 girls of Zoe Casey O’Shea, Clara Mooney and Izabella Benka started the day’s races just before the rain began, and in the boy’s race we had Gold for Darragh Lynn and Silver for the team of Darragh, Sam Russell, Darragh Minogue and Bobby Weekes. In U12 we had Gold for Eva McMahon, Bronze for Lara O’Regan and Gold for the team of Eva, Lara, Fiadh Houlin, Olivia Lynch, Blanka Daviet and Aimee Weekes.  In U12 boys we had only Luke Russell in the race finishing in 9th place in a very strong field.  In U14 there was Gold for Ellen Goggin and Gold for the team of Ellen, Caoilin Crowley, Ciara Lynn, Zoe O’Brien and Connie Siddle, with a Bronze for Robert McCutcheon plus Silver for the boys team of Robert, Gearóid Putt, Kyle Harte, Óisin Garvey and Johnny Tarpey.  In the U16 race there was Gold for Ella Grace Osborne, Silver for Sophia Meaney and Gold for the whole team of Ella Grace, Sophia, Ivana O’Carroll, Rhianon Heng Aimee McMahon and Catherine McCutcheon, with Rudhan Crowley taking Silver in the boys race too.  Finally, Alan McCutcheon won the Silver medal in the U18 race running alongside the senior men and women at the end of a very rain soaked day.
